senior PMO analyst
The Role
We're looking for a senior PMO analyst to join the EMEA Technology team, you'll be leading the governance and PMO of the department, ensuring the portfolio is keeping to budget and plan. In close collaboration to the delivery, finance, and wide range of business stakeholders, you'll maintain control of the processes and governance framework that is set. This will require redefining some of the governance and controls in place, monitoring the status of the portfolio and leading on the production of the portfolio plan.
The Senior PMO Analyst will provide monitoring and control to the financial management to the delivery of technology to our licensee’s and corporate business, responsible for the day to day reporting obligations for the team, assurance of the demand management and intake into the EMEA Technology team.
This therefore requires an individual who is able to build relationships cross functionally within Technology and Product to create, maintain and continuously develop the portfolio roadmaps which support delivery of the strategy. Being highly analytical is crucial to this role, you'll perform analysis of opportunities and threats to delivery and will be able to communicate with your stakeholders inclusive of delivery teams and leaders in order to action these. This role is responsible for the production, maintenance and continuous development of reporting to internal and external stakeholders of the monthly progress and forecasting reporting. In addition, you'll need to be keen to lead continous development of the teams governance as the business evolves, as well as maintaining and upholding the portfolio governance.
You'll partner with the Senior Manager, Strategic Planning and will support in building out and communicating the PMO capability and requirements across the team, while also acting as a mentor for the junior members of the team.
What you'll do:
- Plan and manage PMO-related activities across the technology portfolio to support and improve delivery
- Manage the definition, implementation and continuous improvement of effective governance across the technology portfolio
- Lead on turning complex data analysis and insight into consumable management information with key stakeholders
- Lead on quality assurance activities of the technology portfolio of the deliverables against the standards set by the team
- Managing, supporting and evolving governance activities e.g. designing and documenting local governance; monitoring performance against objectives and key results
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of portfolio and financial management processes
- Governance Adherence: Establish, maintain and strengthen governance frameworks for the technology department
- Lead on the financial management of the technology department ensuring all good and services are appropriately receipted while providing insight into the contract management of key vendor’s to ensure appropriate monitoring and control
- Lead on the oversight and governance of the demand management process
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Experience in a PMO or Project Management role
- Learning agility with a growth mindset and ability to thrive within an ambiguous environment
- Engage team members with confidence, a positive attitude, patience, honesty and integrity
- Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation, including senior leaders and directors.
- The ability to develop the methodologies, tools, processes, and techniques used to monitor change
- Solid experience in financial management
- Coaching and mentoring experience with junior members of the team
- Skilled in the MS Office Product Suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Sharepoint.
- Qualified in project management methodologies i.e. Prince 2, Agile, Waterfall, PMO Certification (desirable)
